A distance counter on the camera display is another feature to check separately. It should not be treated as a substitute for a compatible locating system or as confirmation of a camera’s surface position.

Send its make, model and generation with your inquiry. Request confirmation that it can detect the proposed sonde in the required mode. Do not rely on matching brand names alone. If the seller proposes an adapter or an additional device, request its exact part number and purpose.
